Citrus Juicers

Electric reamers and manual press juicers for orange, lemon, lime and grapefruit juice.

Citrus juicer type determines juice yield and effort required. A manual handheld citrus squeezer (inverted press) requires cutting the fruit and pressing half against the cone; it is compact and effective for single servings. A countertop manual reamer rotates against the fruit half, extracting more juice than a handheld squeezer with less wrist effort. An electric citrus juicer automates the rotation and extracts the maximum juice from each half, which is most efficient when juicing large quantities for a pitcher of orange juice or lemonade. A juicer with a pulp strainer separates seeds and pulp from the juice. This section covers citrus juicers by juice mechanism, capacity and how much juice each style extracts per piece of fruit.
